The meeting was called to order by the current President, Nick Thompson at 6:30 PM.

Introduction of Board Members for 2016 – 2018

Discussed the open position for Vice
President. Oliver Caldwell was nominated
and accepted the position of Vice President and will fill in for the remainder
of this fiscal year.

Old Business

Approval of Minutes from last year’s meeting. A motion was made and seconded to approve
last year’s minutes. A vote was made and
passed to approve the minutes.

Summary of income and expenses for last year and
where the money goes:

Discussed the property at the middle of the
subdivision. The area cannot be rezoned
until the sewage management has been determined. The property has been pulled for rezoning at
this time.

Financial Overview discussion of assets,
liabilities, and income were covered during the meeting. We are doing well financially and no annual
dues changes are required at this time.

Sign-up sheets were available for
different volunteer opportunities.
A date was proposed for a movie
night and yard sales. Proposed date is
May 19 for the movie night and May 19-20 for the yard sales.
4. Reviewed
the safety issues with parking in the street, dog feces in the street and the neighbor’s
yards, walking at night, and speeding.
There was discussion of the responsibilities of the duties of the HOA
board. The board does not have the
authority to enforce these things and it is suggested that residents speak with
their neighbors or contact the sheriff.
It was also suggested that it may be more effective if a group attempts
to meet with residents who continue to park in the street.
5. There
was a concern raised that some of the residents may not be aware of the
covenant rules. There was a discussion
around how to improve transfer of information.

A suggestion was made to send out post cards to
collect email addresses.
·
Discussed the need to reach out to the
neighborhood and mail out the covenants to all home owners for each section of
the neighborhood.
·
A motion was made to have quarterly
meetings. The motion was seconded. A vote was made and passed to have quarterly
meetings. Information on the next
meeting will be posted on the HOA blog.
Target April, July, October, and January. Next meeting is targeted for July 10.
6. Drawing
– Congratulation to Laurie Matta and Kelvin Gooding. They won the drawings for the free annual
dues for 2017.
Meeting Closed – A motion was made and seconded to end the
official meeting. A vote was made and
passed to close the 2017 Annual HOA Meeting.
